Content in Christ (Philippians 4:8-12)

As we take a couple of weeks break from our study of Revelation for our annual picnic and mission's conference, this morning we turned our attention to true contentment and that it only comes in the Lord Jesus.  The treasures of this world can only offer what leads to a desire for more, but Christ truly satisfies.

Fear can be a good thing when it drives us to seek refuge in the Lord Jesus.  One of the purposes of the law is to show us the holiness and perfection of God and our own sinfulness before that Law and drive us to the Lord Jesus.

The last commandment prohibits covetousness, promotes contentment, and points to Christ.  He is enough!
