Trinity Grace Church

All three persons of the Godhead are present and active at the baptism of Jesus.  This passage is not only about the commissioning of Jesus for His mission but also about the doctrine of the Trinity. 

We continue our study in Matthew.  John the Baptist, the last of the OT prophets comes on the scene declaring that the Kingdom of God has come!

We continue our study in Matthew with the chronology of the boy Jesus - but it is so much more than that!  Scripture is being fulfilled - Jesus is the new Israel.  

We continue our study in Matthew with the visit of the Magi from the east - they've, even they've, come to worship the Son of David. 

We can learn much from Matthew's record of the birth narrative of the Lord Jesus.  This Jesus is Messiah; He is the Son David.
