Of First Importance (1 Corinthians 15:1-11)

Paul not only sets up his answer for those who doubt a resurrection of the dead, he also encourages those in the Corinthian church and those of us today who have been struggling.  He does both by reminding them and us of what is of first importance...the Gospel! 

Order in Worship (1 Corinthians 14:26-40)

Paul brings a corrective to the Church in Corinth instructing them that God Himslef informs us as to how we are to worship Him.  

For the Believer and the Unbeliever (1 Corinthians 14:1-25)

The Apostle Paul calls the church to a proper view of the gifts of tongues by giving the church a proper view of the church: The Church is Not an Individual Experience; The Church Builds Up Believers; and The Church Reaches Unbelievers.

The Greatest of These (1 Corinthians 13)

Paul calls us to love one another with a gospel love - with the love with which God has loved us; in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  

His Body, Many Members (1 Corinthians 12:1-31)

Paul calls the church to use their gifts, given by the Spirit, for the glory of God and for the good of the people.  And a proper understanding of those gifts must come with a proper understanding of "Jesus is Lord." 

Feeding on Christ (1 Corinthians 11:17-34)

The Lord's Supper is a wonderful gift that the Lord has given to His church.  When we come to the Lord's Table, though the bread remains bread, and the wine remains wine, nevertheless, we feed on Christ because Christ is spiritually present in the Supper.  

Being Male and Female (1 Corinthians 11:2-16)

The Scripture gives clear and bold instruction concerning gender and gender roles in the midst of a world that is confused or in rebellion against God.
