Our Great High Priest (Hebrews 7:11-28)

Jesus is so much better!  He is a better priest and He has a better priesthood!  

Christ is Superior (Hebrews 7:1-10)

The author uses Melchizedek to point his readers, and us, to the Lord Jesus.  If we get caught up in the mystery of Melchizedek, we miss the point of the author - it's about Jesus and His superiority.

The Anchor of Our Souls (Hebrews 6:13-20)

The promises of God find their "yes" and "amen" in Christ Jesus!

Yet in Your Case (Hebrews 6:4-12)

This is a difficult passage and yet, despite those difficulties, there are some things that are very clear:  the clear warning to not fall away from Christ and the clear encouragement that we can trust our sovereign God.

Solid Food (Hebrews5:11-6:3)

The author encourages the Hebrews to mature to the solid food of the Word of righteousness.  His passion is that no one would fall away - and part of that is becoming mature in the Word to discern good and evil.

Our Great High Priest (Hebrews 4:14-5:10)

Our Great High Priest has accomplished salvation for us.  To paraphrase  R.C. Sproul, "you are saved by works, but those works are not your own."  

Rest (Hebrews 4:1-13)

God invites us into His rest.  

Believe (Hebrews 3:7-19)

The author of Hebrews makes a convincing case to believe.  

Christ is Faithful (Hebrews 3:1-6)

Moses was faithful in that to which he'd been called.  Jesus was (and is) faithful to that which He'd been called.  But Jesus is greater than Moses - for several reasons.
